Examples of my design work outside the classroom or Piecemeal Press. I have designed advertisements, events, theatrical productions, infographics, and press kits for organizations and people I support- for many years, design has been a skill I utilized not for an occupation, but for helping the people in my life succeed.
Instructional Design
Not every teacher is an Instructional Designer, but every teaching team needs at least one. Nine years of experience teaching and supporting teachers as a Teaching Consultant allowed me to hone my Instructional design and Information Design skills.
Design Process
In 2020, I started preparing to pivot into a new career and took a course on User Experience design. I was shocked to find that I had already been utilizing the fundamentals of UX Design as I worked in curriculum and publishing! I now have the formal training to back up my talent and passion for design.
Piecemeal Press
Piecemeal Press is a small, privately owned and operated Poetry Publisher. We have operated out of Austin, TX since 2014. Our mission is to support poets and other artists in creating high quality books, posters, and other merchandise.
